About the Team
Pitt State Dance Team:
The Pittsburg State University Dance Team is a nationally acclaimed dance programing, ranking in the top 10 among UDA Division II teams. With a rich history dating back to the 1970s, we are in search of innovative, adaptable, and selfless student-athletes to continue our legacy. Being part of the Pitt Dance means recognizing that success is determined by the team's overall achievement, not just during games or competitions.
Goals of the Pitt State Dance Team
Academics is our first focus.
Represent PSU as ambassadors of the university.
Support Gorilla Athletic teams in competition.
Represent PSU in national level in completion at UDA College Nationals in Orlando, Florida each January.

Interested in making the team?
Every April, the Pitt State Dance Team holds its annual open auditions. The audition procedure encompasses several key elements, including a personal interview, a rendition of the fight song, an evaluation of technical skills, and a presentation of a choreographed combination routine. Stay tuned for the announcement of the tryout date, which will be made no later than March 1st, 2025. We look forward to seeing your enthusiasm and talent on display!
