Rocky Restivo - Head Coach

Head Coach Rocky Restivo is in his fifth season at the helm of the Pitt State Dance Team. In 2019 Coach Restivo revived the competitive side of the team by taking the team to the UDA College Nationals competition in Orlando Florida making it to Pom finals 2 of 3 years and finals in Game Day 2 of 3 years.

Restivo’s collegiate coaching philosophy revolves around an academics first approach. He is currently an Associate Professor in Graphics Communications in College of Technology at PSU.

“Our ultimate goal for our Student Athletes at Pittsburg State is to have them graduate while providing them with transformational experiences”

 Coach Restivo has been involved in the spirit industry since 2002 as an athlete, coach, national level judge, and athletic administrator. #OAGAG

Elizabeth Smith - Assistant Coach

Elizabeth Smith is in her fourth season as Assistant Coach for the Pitt State Dance Team. Coach Smith is a graduate of the PSU Health Human Performance & Recreation Program and teaches multiple classes for the PSU Dance Minor. She has also worked for UDA and currently directs a local dance studio, Y Academy of Dance. Dance has been her passion from a young age and she is so excited to help the Pitt State Dance Team refine skills, enhance leadership qualities, and achieve goals!

Morgan Kinsey - Assistant Coach

Morgan Kinsey is in her third season as an Assistant Coach for the Pitt State Dance Team. Coach Kinsey recently completed her Masters degree from Psychology Department at Pittsburg State University.

During her undergraduate studies, Kinsey danced as a Norse Star at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College as well as a Crimson & Gold dancer at Pittsburg State University. Coach Kinsey has been involved with PSUs dance program since 2018 as an athlete, dance minor, and choreographer. She has also been a performer at the annual PSU Dance Minor’s Dance Research Symposium. She competed at the 2019 and 2020 UDA College Nationals competition with the Pitt State Dance Team.

Kinsey is passionate about creating a safe and open environment which allows athletes to be inspired, empowered, and creative as they reach toward growth as individuals and as a team.
